GCSE Maths: Factorising Quadratics, Rearranging Formulas

Welcome to the GCSE Maths course for parents or guardians of GCSE Maths students and GCSE Maths students! In this course, we will delve into essential mathematical concepts that are crucial for mastering algebra and preparing for your exams.

Our curriculum will cover the following key topics:

1. Factorising Single Brackets: You will learn how to simplify expressions by taking common factors out of single brackets, enhancing your ability to manipulate algebraic expressions efficiently.
2. Factorising Quadratic Expressions When a=1: We will explore how to factorise quadratic expressions in the form of x²+bx+c. You will develop strategies to break these down into their factors.
3. Factorising Harder Quadratic Expressions: As we progress, we will tackle more complex quadratic expressions where a>1. This section will build on your existing knowledge and challenge you to apply your skills in new ways.
4. Difference of Two Squares: This topic will introduce you to the concept of the difference of two squares, a key algebraic identity that allows for quick factorisation of specific quadratic expressions.
