Class Overview: Learn how to create a beautiful painting inspired by the reflections in the water in Venice! In this class you’ll learn all about layering, different techniques such as wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry and you have the option to add a fine liner at the end to make it even more defined. Perfect for beginners or intermediates who want to try something new and practice landscape painting.

Where To Start?
Make sure you’ve tapes your paper down so it doesn’t warp and you can create a beautiful crisp boarder. Follow the videos, step-by-step and watch as I show you how to apply water, paint, and layers to slowly build up to this Venice scene. It may look messy and chaotic to start, but trust the process and it will all come together at the end, like most artworks! Be patient, curious and allow yourself to try new things.
Materials/Resources:
- Watercolour Paint
- Watercolour Paper
- Pencil
- Ruler (or something with a straight edge)
- Eraser
- Masking Tape
- Water
- Old Rag
- Round paint brush
Where to start: The class is broken down into easy stages that last between 2 & 10 minutes which means, if you’re busy you can just complete one stage at a time and come back to it later.
The class is split up into 8 classes, each giving you a new layer and interesting thing to focus on. You’ll learn so much along the way.
Be Creative: This class gives you guidance on what to do and ideas of what it could look like but feel free to use your own colours, or perhaps use slightly different buildings! It’s completely up to you how you make tweaks along the way!
