My name is Samuel Islam, and I am a transport planning and economics consultant with over 3 years in industry but extensive use of QGIS in my work – I have seen first-hand the power and the capabilities of using the application in aiding project outputs in consultancy, and the niche nature of the skill which is not widely used by everyone in the industry – a powerful tool in need of being more readily used and dispersed across consultancy practice to truly maximise the potential and the potency of its uses in industry and in planning, paving a new mode of working through the scope of QGIS.
