Writing an Academic Paper from French and Russian Literature, Writing a Literature Paper.
Course Description
- This is a short course designed for people who need to take information from complex literary texts and use the information to write an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.
- The course uses the short story “The Overcoat” by Nikolai Gogol and “The Necklace” to teach contradictions, irony, and metaphors.
- The denouement is not always the entire conclusion. However, the course is an introduction for abstracting ideas from literature.
- We review verb tenses to follow grammar and syntax rules.
- The concept of class-based differences are discussed in the papers.
- The course should help viewers understand universal themes.
- Both “The Necklace” and “The Overcoat” are titles and metaphors.
- Students obtain ideas for forming their own papers on the same topic.
- Students have a small quiz on parallel structure.
- Students will read mini-essays that include topics on the brain.
- Students will rewrite one paragraph on their own.
- Students will have a quiz on reorganizing one paragraph in an essay.
- Students will receive a coupon code to a reading comprehension (from a Scholastic Aptitude Test) class taught by Jacovitz Learning instructors.
